Free Support Group: Grief for Gaza
Hosted by Allie Nerderman, MA, LPCC
Lean On Me
We grieve together, we retain our shared humanity together.
This space is available via Zoom on Tuesdays from 8-9pm EST (5-6pm PST).
Allie hosts this free space to process our grief related to witnessing the prolonged horrors in Gaza enabled and endorsed by our own leadership.
This is not a formal therapy group but rather a free virtual support group for those who want community in sharing and holding their collective grief.
Here, we will take time to process the immensity of our grief, together as a virtual community. The level of atrocity and inhumanity in Israel’s genocide against Palestine is beyond disturbing and unfathomable, and for many of us it feels impossible to digest the magnitude of loss in real time.
All of our emotions - rage, despair, confusion, loneliness, frustration, exhaustion, disappointment, worry, sadness, guilt, helplessness, discomfort, volatility, regret, fear, restlessness, disgust, vulnerability, hope - are welcome here.
We do not need to carry this burden alone, for we are in this together.
All adults are welcome.
As humans, we can empathize with the pain we are collectively suffering together. The grief we feel for our Jewish, Congolese, Sudanese, Haitian, and Lebanese siblings shall be honored here too.
If you are looking for a space to unpack your grief, you belong and are welcome here.
Please note: Bigotry, hate speech, hostility, Islamophobia, and anti-Semitism will not be tolerated and Allie reserves the right to remove anyone from participating if they cannot demonstrate respect towards fellow attendees.
Please also note: RSVP for any given session is not required, but sign up is required in order to receive the Zoom link
